Temperature controller for laboratory applications
The controllers specially developed for demanding laboratory applications are the perfect partner for our Pilz® laboratory heating mantles. With either a thermocouple or resistance sensor, the temperature can be measured directly in the medium and thus a very precise temperature accuracy can be achieved. The robust table-top housing enables simple and reliable operation in the laboratory.
Your advantages
- Individually configurable
- Intuitive operation via buttons and plain text menu on the device
- Plug & play via standard laboratory connectors
- Suitable for our PILZ® heating mantles
- The optimum temperature controller for flexible laboratory applications
FAT – The better PID controller
FAT stands for Fast Adaptive Tuning and describes the reliable algorithm – comparable to PID – that works in our controllers. A major advantage of FAT is the permanently self-optimizing controller adjustment without the need to adapt the PID parameters to changing ambient conditions. It is also not necessary to optimize the parameters during commissioning.
The right controller for every application
Specially developed for the operation of heating mantles or other heating solutions in the laboratory, Winkler offers two product series for simple to complex control tasks.
T-500 series (AC)
- Long service life: > 2.5 million switching cycles under full load (16 A)
- Flexible: 1 sensor input adjustable for common RTD and TC sensors
- For safety: additional, single-pole disconnection in the event of a fault
T-700 series
- Durable: > 5 million switching cycles under full load (16 A)
- Sensitive media: 2 sensor inputs for controlling the temperature directly in the medium and limiting the heating mantle temperature to prevent overheating of the vessel
- Precise: Additional control functions such as ramp for heating up
Control of the medium temperature or the heating mantle temperature
The T-500 can be used both as a controller for the heating mantle and as a controller for the medium temperature. In the case of heating mantle control, the heating mantle is controlled to a specific temperature. This has the advantage that no external sensor is required and the heating mantle can be operated easily. If the temperature is to be precisely controlled, an external sensor directly in the medium is indispensable. Winkler has various sensors in its range that can be connected directly via a plug connection without any major wiring work.
The T-700 combines both advantages of control with two sensors. The temperature is controlled with high precision using the medium sensor. An additional sensor in the heating mantle is used to limit the temperature of the heating mantle during heating. This prevents the temperature of the glass flask from becoming too high and the medium from overheating at the edges of the flask. In addition, the T-700 allows advanced functions such as slow heating via a ramp.
